Victor Mitchell's cinematography in this film is quite good; the languid girl-girl scene was especially well shot (and lit! And isn't it almost always about the lighting?). Lots of fun music in this one, too. I wonder how much was Library Music and how much was composed for the movie. The blackface is...er...jarring nowadays but when this film came out the audience at which it was directed probably didn't care. Interesting in that the movie is set at least partly in Amsterdam and partly (presumably) in New York (or was it all shot overseas?). In any case, the continental setting gives this adult film a bit of added glamor. Seeing the same schlub in almost every scene was a bit tedious, but he does have a big dick and he does shoot far, so there's that. And that cute three-wheeler car!! The bondage/suit of armor scene was amusing as the guy with the helmet really seemed to have to strain to get his tongue far enough to lick his co-star. As always, Annette Haven turns in a performance that bridges the gap between legit acting and pornography; she's always been a much better talent than the industry deserved. "Hot Pursuit" was, overall, quite a fun, harmless trip back to the early 80s.
